QUALITY POLICY / ENVIRONMENT

Rives S.r.l. is a family-run business, now in its second generation, that has succeeded over the years in “innovating through continuity” without ever losing sight of quality and product focus. With over forty years of dedicated work and extensive experience, Rives S.r.l. has established itself as a leading player in the paint industry and now offers a wide range of products. Rives S.r.l. is a medium-sized company, fostering a climate of active collaboration and genuine commitment, striving to achieve the best possible results for the continued and rewarding development of the business.

Rives S.r.l., as part of its strategic development guidelines, based on the principles of Total Quality and respect for the environment, has decided to launch a program to obtain and maintain certification of its Management System according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standards for the following activities:

Design and production of paints, enamels, varnishes and decorative products

Both implemented systems utilize a specific process-based approach aimed at implementing and improving effectiveness and efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to reduce the environmental impact of their processes, products, and services. Quality means aiming to differentiate the characteristics of their products through constant research aimed at improving business processes, particularly those related to identifying customer needs and stakeholder expectations, optimizing the work cycle, and improving the flow of information within and outside the company.

Respecting the environment means committing to continuously improving our environmental performance by continually setting new goals to prevent and reduce pollution. The starting point for implementing this policy has been identified as the achievement of the following general objectives, which the Management of Rives S.r.l. is committed to:

• operate within the reference context by identifying and mitigating the risks associated with the activity carried out;
• comply with legal requirements and mandatory requirements by maintaining a constructive relationship with local authorities, competent authorities and supervisory bodies;
• provide the resources necessary for the implementation of this Policy and the maintenance of the System of
• Management compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standards;
• guarantee the Customer that all services are targeted and adequate to the specific needs expressed by systematically monitoring Customer satisfaction, by means of specific feedback data that allow for decisive interventions both in planning and implementation
• constantly develop operational methodologies and tools for the creation of new products, always aiming for high quality standards.
• guarantee the Customer fast and compliant deliveries as requested, rapid preparation times of the goods and a wide range and quantity of available products;
• develop a continuous process improvement program to ensure full customer satisfaction, cost optimization, personnel safety, pollution prevention, and environmental protection;
• Promote and implement training/education programs for its staff at all levels, in order to optimize the human resources growth process and ensure constant updating on environmental, operational, and workplace safety issues.

In the context of Environmental Management, the objective is to continuously improve its performance and minimize the environmental impacts resulting from its activities, intervening on all those direct and indirect aspects that have been recognized as significant based on the results of the environmental analysis carried out. Therefore, the Management of Rives S.r.l. is committed to:

• evaluate the environmental aspects of their activities and adopt management procedures that ensure the prevention and/or reduction of pollution;
• communicate environmental sustainability principles to suppliers, customers and stakeholders relevant to the environmental management system;
• engage stakeholders, promote environmental awareness by reaching out to as many customers and suppliers as possible;
• improve environmental performance by:
  • the empowerment and involvement of staff on environmental protection issues;
  • the promotion of a culture of environmental protection through training programs also reserved for the staff of companies operating within the company site;
  • the choice of ISO 14001 certified suppliers or those capable of ensuring supplies that are as compliant as possible with the adopted Environmental Management System;o;
  • the implementation of a maintenance program for work environments, systems and equipment in order to minimize the risks associated with their malfunctioning;
  • optimize energy consumption;
  • the correct and careful management of waste to minimize the risks of environmental impact generated by temporary storage or transportation of the same;
  • monitoring according to the times and methods established by current legislation and/or existing Authorizations to safeguard the environment and the health and safety of its workers.

Furthermore, Rives S.r.l. recognizes climate change as one of the major global environmental challenges and is committed to taking concrete measures to help mitigate its impacts. To this end, it intends to:

• monitor and reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions resulting from its activities, promoting the use of renewable sources;

• assess climate risks and opportunities in the context of their activities, including in relation to the supply chain;

• integrate climate criteria into strategic and operational decisions, including the design and development of new products with low environmental impact;

• promote internal awareness of climate change issues through dedicated training and awareness-raising activities.

Rives S.r.l. defines specific objectives during the Management Review phase, with the task of monitoring and periodically reviewing them to evaluate the results achieved and identify new ones consistent with the principle of continuous improvement. The policy and objectives are communicated to staff to disseminate the principles and ensure their knowledge and dissemination.
